Lighting direction gives shapes a 3-D look Thursday, July 21, 2005 Once you create an AutoShape on a slide in Microsoft PowerPoint, the 3-D Style icon on the Drawing toolbar gives you access to the 3-D Settings menu. This offers you a number of interesting tools that can change the look of the drawn shape. For example, you can change the source-direction and intensity of the light falling on the object. Look for the Lighting icon (in the shape of a spotlight) to access its tools. Other 3-D settings include Tilts, Depths, Direction, Surface and 3-D Color.
